微笑圈 SMILE WRISTLETS

“Smile Wristlets” with the five colors of the Olympic Rings are a set of tokens of the “Smiling Beijing” Theme. Every color indicates a different kind of human virtues: Red represents the readiness to help others, black honesty and faith, green environmental protection awareness, yellow civility and manners, and blue learning and enterprising spirits. Everyone is encouraged to wear a smile wristlet to honor and practice these virtues. The wristlets are meant to enhance civic-mindedness, promote interpersonal harmony and improve the city’s environment through each wristlet bearer’s dedication to their meaning. Through our joint efforts, we can credit a high-level and unique Olympic Games, and help make Beijing a prosperous, civilized, harmonious and livable city.
